Thanks Jon, that's actually a really helpful list. Couldn't get into Something from the Nightside (waiting for it's round two), and same with The Becoming. The first person startled me and I couldn't get into it after that.
ReplyDeleteRule of thumb is: a book gets 50 pages to gain my interest. If I'm not engaged, I set it aside until some later date. Then it gets another 25 pages read, and if I'm STILL no into it, it gets shipped to the used bookstore.
